Viewed up close, this piece (in the 16:9 aspect ration of HD-TV) is quite abstract. But back off a bit, and suddenly you've got a fair representation of what this kind of range land really looks like, including the bright-red dirt in this part of the country. (Of course, if you've never seen such land, your mind might just see a bunch of colored splotches. If that's the case, you have my sympathies :-)
See elsewhere on this site for a rendering in a more abstract/expressionist style with a cooler, almost-dusk palette.
